Our Story

Our school began as a family-run vision, founded by educator Randah Alhorani, Head of School, and her daughter Jana Tayfour, Curriculum Manager, starting with just two teachers and three preschool-aged children. From the beginning, we set out to build a private Islamic school that nurtures the whole child through strong early childhood education, faith-based learning, and academic excellence. Today, we serve over 30 students from preschool through primary school, continuing our commitment to individualized learning, close parent partnerships, and a warm, values-driven school community rooted in Islamic principles.

About Jana Academy Elementary School

Jana Academy Elementary School follows the Ontario curriculum and is rooted in Islamic identity, with a strong Arabic language program. Throughout our dedicated educators, and strong partnerships with families and communities, we prepare confident learners and responsible global citizens.

Preschool

1. Preschool

Children build strong foundations in both English and Arabic through a rich bilingual environment led by an English-speaking educator, an Arabic-speaking educator, and supportive bilingual staff.

Kindergarten

2. Kindergarten

Our goal is to help children grow not just as students, but as people. We create a supportive space where learning feels engaging, and where kids are guided to build strong relationships, make sense of their emotions, and show empathy.

Our students learn in a setting that encourages curiosity by inviting conversation, teamwork, hands-on exploration, and thoughtful engagement.

First Month Tuition The first month's tuition is required. 50% of this amount is refundable in the event of withdrawal. This can be paid via e-transfer to janaacademycanada@gmail.com.
Sibling Discount 10% discount on the monthly tuition fees for the second child.

Nuuh now knows how to recite multiple surahs from the Quran in such a short period of time. He is also more familiar with his Arabic letters and his Arabic vocabulary has improved greatly.

جميع المدرسات مهتمين بتقدم ونجاح الطفل. أهم شيء بالنسبة لعائلتنا هو الاهتمام في المدرسة بتنمية اللغة العربية والتربية الإسلامية، حيث يتم تدريس نصف الأسبوع الدراسي باللغة العربية، وهذا يساعد ابنتنا في تحسين مهاراتها في المحادثة والكتابة باللغة العربية. الأطفال أيضاً يحفظون سوراً صغيرة من القرآن من سن صغير. جزاهم الله خير المدرسات جميعاً على مجهودهم الكبير وحسن رعايتهم للأطفال.

ابنتي متحمسة للذهاب الى المدرسة كل يوم و تحب جميع معلماتها واصدقائها. هذا الحب جعلها أيضاً متحمسة للتعليم والتركيز في المواد والدراسة. تعود ابنتي كل يوم من المدرسة مكتسبة معلومات جديدة ليس فقط عن اللغات ولكن ايضا في الاسلام.
